In a major step toward electrification, Nissan unveils the new Juke EV at its global Vision Event held in Japan on April 14, 2026. The third-generation Juke marks a complete transformation of the brand’s popular compact crossover into a fully electric vehicle, blending futuristic styling with advanced EV technology.
A Radical Design Inspired by the Future
One of the biggest highlights of Nissan’s unveiling of the new Juke EV is its dramatic design overhaul. Inspired by the Hyper Punk concept first showcased in 2023, the new model features sharp, angular lines, a coupe-like roofline, and distinctive 3D taillights. The SUV also introduces a unique lighting signature at both the front and rear, reinforcing its bold road presence.

While official specifications are yet to be confirmed, industry expectations suggest battery options of 52 kWh and 75 kWh. These could deliver a driving range of up to 450 km, with power outputs ranging between 174 hp and 213 hp, making it a capable urban crossover.

As Nissan unveils the new Juke EV, it also hints at a highly advanced interior. The upcoming model is expected to feature a three-screen digital cockpit, an AI-powered infotainment system, and V2X (vehicle-to-everything) technology. Production of the Juke EV will take place at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, with build trials starting soon. Full-scale manufacturing is scheduled for late 2026, while customer deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.
Despite this electrified leap, Nissan will continue offering an updated version of the second-generation Juke hybrid. This dual strategy reflects the brand’s response to slower-than-expected EV adoption, giving customers flexibility while transitioning toward zero-emission mobility.
