A Major Step Toward Strengthening EV Infrastructure

Exicom Opens Integrated Plant for EV Charging Solutions in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in India’s rapidly growing electric mobility ecosystem. Exicom Tele-Systems Limited, one of India’s leading providers of EV charging and critical power solutions, inaugurated the advanced manufacturing facility on March 16, 2026.

The launch event brought together key leaders from the telecom and EV industries, highlighting the company’s commitment to strengthening India’s power electronics manufacturing capabilities.

₹216 Crore Investment to Boost Manufacturing

The new facility has been developed with an investment of ₹216 crore and is spread across 18.4 acres with a built-up area of 2,80,000 square feet. Located in Hyderabad, the plant significantly expands Exicom’s manufacturing footprint.

During Phase I, the facility is expected to increase the company’s production capacity by 2.5 times while creating more than 750 employment opportunities in the region. With this expansion, Exicom opens an integrated plant for EV Charging infrastructure to support both domestic and international markets.

Supporting EV Charging and Critical Power Solutions

The facility has been built to meet the rising demand for EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions. These technologies play a crucial role in powering electric vehicles, telecom networks, data centers, and other mission-critical infrastructure that requires an uninterrupted energy supply.

By strengthening local manufacturing, the initiative ensures faster innovation and improved supply capabilities. Through this move, Exicom opens an integrated plant for EV Charging solutions that will support India’s transition toward sustainable mobility.

Industry 4.0 Manufacturing and Advanced Technology

The Hyderabad facility is designed using Industry 4.0 manufacturing principles, integrating automation, robotics, and digital traceability systems to ensure precision production at scale.

The plant also features:

  • ISO 8 cleanroom environments for advanced power electronics manufacturing
  • High-precision assembly processes
  • Specialized testing infrastructure to validate performance in real-world conditions

Additionally, the facility will manufacture TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules from Tritium and plans to establish India’s first EV charger interoperability testing center, ensuring compatibility between chargers and various EV models.

Global Quality Standards and Sustainability

The plant adheres to globally recognized certifications such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, ensuring world-class manufacturing quality and operational excellence.

Sustainability has also been integrated into the facility’s design. The campus includes 40% green cover, a 1 MW rooftop solar power system, rainwater harvesting infrastructure, and a sewage treatment plant for responsible water management. The building is designed to meet IGBC Green Building certification standards, demonstrating Exicom’s commitment to environmentally responsible operations.
