The much-awaited Lexus ES 500e EV Launched in India marks a significant milestone for the Japanese luxury carmaker. Introduced on March 20, 2026, at an introductory price of ₹89.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this model is the brand’s first-ever battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the Indian market. Based on the eighth-generation ES sedan, it combines premium luxury with cutting-edge electric performance.

Moving away from the traditional spindle grille, the front now features a clean panel with a compact air intake and stylish diamond-pattern detailing. Powerful Electric Performance and Range

At the heart of the Lexus ES 500e EV, Launched In India, is a 74.69 kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. This setup produces around 338 hp and 438 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.7 seconds.

The sedan offers a claimed range of up to 580 km on a single charge, making it ideal for long-distance travel. Lexus also provides an 11kW AC home charger for convenient charging.

Dimensions and Market Position

The new ES has grown in size, offering better road presence and cabin space. It is longer, wider, and taller than its predecessor, with a ground clearance of 158 mm tailored for Indian conditions.
