A record-breaking pace in India’s EV segment has put Mahindra in the spotlight. Mahindra sold 1 EV every 10 Minutes in the Last 7 Months, totalling more than 30,000 electric SUVs, including the XEV 9e and BE 6. The rapid sales underline the growing acceptance of electric vehicles as practical, stylish, and reliable choices for daily commuting. With advanced tech, luxurious interiors, and multiple battery options, these SUVs are not just vehicles—they’re a statement. Mahindra’s incredible momentum is reshaping the EV market and setting new benchmarks for competitors to follow.

The impressive sales primarily include two of Mahindra’s flagship EVs: the XEV 9e and BE 6. Together, these vehicles generated a staggering ₹8,472 crore in revenue, reflecting both strong demand and premium pricing in the Indian EV segment. Breaking down the contribution, the XEV 9e accounted for 56% of total sales, while the BE 6 contributed 44%, showing a fairly even distribution of interest between the two SUVs. Interestingly, within the XEV 9e lineup, the Pack Three variant with a 79 kWh battery proved to be the most popular, comprising 73% of total sales, indicating that buyers prefer higher-range options for long-distance usability.

Mahindra’s sales success is not just about numbers; it reflects a broader market impact. Reports suggest that 80% of these buyers were new to the Mahindra brand, highlighting the company’s growing influence and ability to attract first-time EV customers. Moreover, 65% of these vehicles are being used daily, signalling that these SUVs are serving as primary vehicles rather than secondary or occasional-use cars.

Both the XEV 9e and BE 6 are equipped with cutting-edge technology, connectivity features, and advanced safety systems, enhancing the driving experience. The cabins feature premium materials and upholstery, giving them a near-luxury feel. The XEV 9e, in particular, stands out with its triple-screen layout, which has been a major attraction among tech-savvy buyers. With multiple battery pack options and strong performance figures, these models appeal to driving enthusiasts seeking both comfort and thrill.

In terms of pricing, the XEV 9e is available from ₹21.90 lakh to ₹31.25 lakh, ex-showroom, while the BE 6 starts at ₹18.90 lakh and goes up to ₹27.65 lakh, ex-showroom. With such a compelling combination of technology, design, and performance, it’s no surprise that Mahindra’s EVs are flying off the shelves.
