New Delhi, August 17, 2026: Youdha has unveiled EPOD-Bharat, a limited-edition, hand-painted version of its flagship L5 electric passenger three-wheeler. Youdha unveils the EPOD-Bharat electric three-wheeler as a special edition that combines traditional Indian craftsmanship with the country’s growing shift towards electric mobility.

Showcased at the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the special electric vehicle features a vibrant exterior inspired by Warli art. The artwork depicts women, rural life, nature, and community celebrations, turning the electric commercial vehicle into a moving representation of India’s artistic and cultural heritage.

EPOD-Bharat features a hand-painted exterior inspired by Warli art, with motifs representing women, rural life, nature and community celebrations.

A Tribute to Women and Traditional Artisans

The EPOD-Bharat project places India’s women and traditional artisans at the centre of its design story. According to Youdha, the special edition is intended to celebrate the creativity, strength, and resilience of women while also highlighting the role of artisans in preserving traditional forms of expression.

“EPOD-Bharat is our tribute to the spirit of Bharat and to the women and artisans whose creativity and resilience continue to shape our country. We wanted to bring traditional Indian art onto a modern electric mobility platform, creating a vehicle that represents both our heritage and our aspirations for the future,” said Ayush Lohia, CEO, Youdha.

The hand-painted treatment gives the limited-edition electric three-wheeler a distinct identity while creating a link between India’s cultural legacy and its electric mobility future.

EPOD-Bharat electric three-wheeler: Design Meets Electric Mobility

The Warli-inspired artwork is the most prominent visual feature of EPOD-Bharat. The exterior uses traditional motifs and scenes centered on women, community life, nature, and rural surroundings. The approach brings traditional craftsmanship onto a contemporary electric vehicle rather than treating art as a separate element from the mobility product. The initiative also underlines a broader trend in electric mobility in India: combining technology and practical transportation with locally rooted design and cultural identity.

Electric Three-Wheeler Specifications and Range

Under the hand-painted exterior, the EPOD is an L5 electric passenger three-wheeler. It is powered by a 6 kW motor that produces 50 Nm of torque and uses an 11.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery.

The electric passenger three-wheeler offers a certified range of up to 227 kilometers on a single charge*. It also gets City and Boost driving modes, giving users different driving settings depending on operating requirements.

Another notable feature is its 300 mm water-wading capacity. This has been designed to make the vehicle suitable for varied Indian road and weather conditions, an important consideration for commercial mobility applications.

Price and Target Customers

The EPOD is available at a starting price of ₹3.20 lakh*. Youdha says the vehicle has been developed around the requirements of self-employed drivers and mobility entrepreneurs.

Its combination of range, performance, durability, and operating efficiency is aimed at supporting commercial users who depend on their vehicles for everyday mobility and livelihood.

Manufacturing Capacity in Uttarakhand

The EPOD is manufactured at Youdha’s production facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. The facility has an installed annual production capacity of 100,000 units.

The manufacturing plant is equipped with automated assembly lines, end-of-line testing, and quality control systems. These capabilities support the production of the electric commercial vehicle while maintaining the company’s focus on testing and quality control.

A Bridge Between Indian Art and EV Innovation

Youdha Unveils the EPOD-Bharat electric three-wheeler at a time when India’s electric vehicle ecosystem is expanding across passenger and commercial applications. With EPOD-Bharat, the company is using a limited-edition design to spotlight artisans and the traditional artistic forms they help preserve.

By placing Warli-inspired artwork on a contemporary electric vehicle, the initiative seeks to connect India’s cultural legacy with its electric mobility future. The result is an electric EV that is positioned not only as a commercial mobility product but also as a representation of Indian identity and craftsmanship.
